Francis Center

Frncis Center is a parish ministry that provides Health, Healing and Fellowship; offering pastoral care, outreach, and programs to those in the Hikes Point Area (zip codes 40218 & 40220). Check out our website, for more information on how to become involved!

Sub-ministries of the Francis Center include:

Single, Family and Marriage Counseling: The mission of this ministry is to provide a practicum setting for individuals with theological/spiritual commitments to become marriage and family therapists competent to practice in a diverse, multicultural and interfaith world.

Grief Ministry: This ministry provides support, comfort, and healing to those who are suffering from the passing of a loved one.

Health Services: Currently offers flu shots, blood pressure checks, and other routine medical procedures.

Health and Wellness Ministry:
Promotes health and wellness, as it is seen as a direct link to our spiritual responsibility as temples of the Holy Spirit. This group will help plan and execute a variety of events throughout the parish. This group is open to all individuals, whether or not they are in the medical or healthcare field.


Pastoral Care Ministry: Counseling and listening to those who may be experiencing turmoil, conflict, or grief within their own life. This ministry is designed for a “one on one” encounter.

MS Support Group: This group meets once a month at the Hikes Lane Campus to show support to others who suffer from living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Parish Social Services: Confidential meetings can be scheduled with our parish social worker on an individual basis for anyone in need. There is no fee; however, appointments are necessary.  Contact Darlene Sligar at the parish office.

Parkinson’s Support Group: This group meets once a month at Hikes Lane Campus to show support to others who suffer from living with Parkinson’s Disease.
