I’ve always wanted to have some kind of Men’s Prayer Group, and I feel like now is the time.
Too often, men don’t have the opportunity to gather in prayer and community. Not often enough are we able to build relationships of support with other men. I think we have a tremendous opportunity for this.
What I am envisioning is a combination of prayerful time and social time. I want it to be a safe, comfortable place to just hang out with other men. Meeting just once a month (we could always increase, if group wants), on the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 6:30pm-8pm, starting sometime this fall.
I will be using a series based on Venerable Emil Kapaun, an American Catholic priest and United States Army captain who served as a chaplain during World War II and the Korean War. The program is part video and discussion, with prayer throughout. This would begin each evening, followed
By social time and snacks. We could eventually have men’s retreats to further our relationship with Christ and each other.
I hope with this invitation, that you think about it and please pray about it.
Thank you & God Bless!
